This man is Gavrilo Princip, on June 28 1914, he shoot the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on the streets of Austria, which caused the outbreak of World War One.

The battle field where the most tradgic battle took place. The Battle of the Somme took place in 1916, this is where Canada joined with the British troops to fight off the Germans. A unsuccessful attempt and a horrible plan killed about 58 000. Worst day in British history.

General Arthur Currie, was the commander of the Canadian Corps. General Currie help plan the attack that helped Canada win Vimy Ridge from the Germans in 1917. He made sure that the plan was perfect so that there would be no past mistakes.

The Grave of General Arthur Currie, he is buried in Wimereux Cemetery. He passed away on November 30 1933.
